About Our Farm!
As a family operated farm we pride ourselves on quality of our mushrooms and developing long standing relationships with our customers.
In 2001, our family started producing shiitake mushrooms because we saw an opportunity to bring the high quality donko shiitake to the United States. With techniques borrowed from China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea we are able to produce a mushroom that is meatier, more flavorful and retains more of the nutrients that this superfood is known for.
We take pride in our sustainable growing practices. By using the techiniques that we learned from all over Asia we are able to reduce the water consumption to a small fraction of the industry standard. We limit our carbon foot print by using sunlight, natural air currents, and our unique greenhouses to heat and cool our growing rooms. As farmers it is our responsibility to take care of the land that feeds us!
